Character Name: Dr. Wily
Series: Mega Man
Bio (personality): Cruel and incredibly cunning, Wily is a genius well-versed in the art of manipulation, being able to convince foes that he lacks ulterior motives, or faking his death in order to proceed unhindered. However, he’s also rather narrow minded at times, he admits that his rivalry with Light is what gives his life meaning and wants nothing more than to prove he is superior. Despite this, Wily sometimes shows genuine acts of kindness, such as the time he left a large amount of handmade cures for the deadly Roboenza virus before escaping from imprisonment once.
He also flip-flops on the edge of insanity every now and then, more often than not on the ‘insane’ side.
History: Once the colleague of Dr. Light at the Robot University of Technology, Wily eventually became bitter at Light, whose research gained him world renown. Both created various robots throughout their lives. And while Wily won many awards for it, he was consistently upstaged by Dr. Light, and this wounded his pride. Tired of being one step behind Dr. Light, he moved to the Pacific Ocean, creating a robot factory and disappeared, beginning his plan to conquer the world. Eventually, after Dr. Light managed to create robots with the ability to feel emotion, Wily began his plans, stealing six robots and reprogramming them to help him. This action caused another of Light’s robots, named Rock, to become
super-fighting robot Mega Man. Mega Man was able to defeat Dr. Wily and began a string of events that would revolve around Wily and Mega Man fighting each other. Eventually, Wily would die, leaving his greatest creation, the android known as Zero, behind.
Quick RP sample: The genius was seated on a box, without tools, without plans, without anything. One of the greatest minds ever seen, reduced to nothing more than a homeless person.
“I don’t even understand! Me! Not understanding something! Unthinkable!”
Quickly getting up and kicking the box over the man pulled a pencil out of his pocket and began writing on the former makeshift stool. After twenty or so minutes of constant writing he stopped, as quickly as he began.
“Teleportation…no something different, this tattoo, a limiter perhaps? Hah! What sort of mystical mumbo jumbo is this? Don’t you know who I am?! I’m Dr. Wily! The greatest scientific mind ever seen! NUHAHAHAHAHAHA”
The old man began cackling incoherently before running off to find some shelter, if the person who sent him here was ‘magic’, they were nothing but parlour tricks compared to his mastery over science.
“Just another person to prove my superior genius to!”
